OXBOW NATURE PARK

LOVELAND, CO

2021

Oxbow Natural Area was purchased by the City of Loveland in an effort to preserve wildlife habitat areas within the Big Thompson River and to mitigate flood potential. Located south of US 34 on the east and west sides of Rossum Drive, Oxbow Natural Area features 20.5 acres of naturalized open space, 0.6 miles of soft-surface trails, fishing access along the Big Thompson River, and abundant opportunities for wildlife viewing.

In 2021 Singletrack Trails coordinated with city staff to develop designs for five nature play features to complement the area's other activities and provide a welcoming and active space for children and families.
