The Ivestor Gap Trail is located in the Pisgah Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest. Singletrack Trails performed extensive maintenance work on a 2.2 mile stretch of the existing multi-use trail in remote, rugged terrain with some moderately steep rocky slopes. The area is remote, typically without mobile phone coverage, and is located several hours from emergency medical service. Our maintenance included berm removal; ditch construction; grading and outsloping tread; reconstruction and construction of rolling grade dips; drainage stabilization; rock chiseling; armoring and filling tread using chipped rock (from chiseling), on-site rock, and imported aggregate; erosion control.
