WHITEROCK CONSERVANCY

COON RAPIDS, IA

2014 - 2015

Whiterock Conservancy developed an ambitious goal to create state-park-like services on 5,000 acres of a 15,000-acre working farm in Coon Rapids, IA. The plan was to manage both agricultural and outdoor recreation activities on the same parcels of land while attracting tourism to the region.

Singletrack Trails was proud to be part of a project that incorporated trails, outdoor recreation, as well as land management, in order to become a new economic driver for a community that had previously relied solely on the agricultural industry.

The Whiterock Trail System now draws local and regional riders and hikers from as far away as Omaha, so all the rain, sweat, and mud was worth it.
