VEE HOLLOW BIKE PARK

TOWNSEND, TN

2021

Located in Townsend, TN, Vee Hollow is a free to use pedal access bike park that hosts 14 miles of trails for riders of all skill levels. The park consists of four distinct zones, including a skills area, jump zone, enduro trails and cross country trails. The range of trails and experiences from hand-cut singletrack to long enduro-style descents offer incredible variety for riders during each visit.

Singletrack trails partnered with C2 consulting on this project to build 4 unique trail segments for the park, totaling 2.3 miles of continuous trail. Our specific segments included three handbuilt downhill flow trails and a machine built cross country climbing trail. Hand-cut singletrack provides a unique user experience compared to trails cut by machine. With a narrower corridor, tread width, and less disturbance to the surrounding terrain, hand-cut trails ground trail users in their surroundings. Crews can often integrate more features and terrain along the trail alignment when building by hand.

The Vee Hollow Bike Park represents a unique collaboration between professional trail builders, as nine companies in total were involved with the overall construction of the entire trail network. This approach allows the park to offer variety throughout it’s system due to the unique approach each company brings when it comes to building trails.
