LUNCH LOOP BIKE PARK

GRAND JUNCTION, CO

2010

The Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association, in partnership with the City of Grand Junction, contracted Singletrack Trails to design and construct a progressive bicycle skills park at the trailhead of a
highly popular mountain bike trail system. The Bangs Canyon - Tabeguache Trail System, also locally known as the Lunch Loops is located five minutes from downtown Grand Junction. Alongside nearby trails and bike parks in Fruita & Palisade, this area has garnered both national and international attention.

Singletrack Trails constructed a pump track, dirt jumps, and a dual slalom course in two weeks, to meet a hard deadline for the scheduled grand opening. Local Grand Junction community businesses worked with COPMOBA volunteers and the City of Grand Junction to donate dirt, concrete blocks, manpower and lodging in assist to the Singletrack Trails crew.

Actual total project value is estimated at $85,000, however the COPMOBA - Singletrack Trails partnership was able to complete this hybrid project for a cash outlay under $17,500. Singletrack Trails has been contracted to maintain this infrastructure.
