This past week, Singletrack Trails began the construction of the Lunch Loop Bike Park for COPMOBA in Grand Junction, CO. The Lunch Loop Bike Park will be a mountain bike skills area at the Tabeguache Trailhead incorporating alternate lines on Kid’s Meal, a pumptrack, dirt jumps, and dual slalom course.
Community support for this park has been incredible. Redlands Water and Power has donated close to 1000 cubic yards of dirt. Hanson Equipment has loaned two dump trucks for volunteer CDL drivers to haul the dirt. Whitewater Building materials donated the concrete blocks and installation time for the start hill and quarter pipe.
The City of Grand Junction and the BLM have both been very generous with time and equipment to get this project rolling.
Below is a slideshow of the work done so far and a timelapse of the start hill wall being assembled. The grand opening of the park is October 16th at 9am.
